Turn the key in the ignition to position 1 or 2.

If you operate the switchpast the pressure point, an automatic travel is started in the corresponding direction. You can stop automatic travel by operating the switch again.

Rain-sensing closing

If the key in the ignition lock is in position 0 or removed, the panoramic sliding roof closes automatically

• when rain begins
• in extreme outside temperatures
• after six hours
• in case of power supply faults.

To continue ventilating the vehicle interior, the panoramic sliding roof remains raised at the rear.

Info

If the panoramic sliding roof closes with the "Rain closing" function and is blocked in the process, it reopens slightly. The "Rain closing" function is then deactivated.

The panoramic sliding roof does not close if

• is raised at the rear
• is blocked
• it is not raining on the rain sensor's sensor field in the windshield, e.g. because the vehicle is parked under a bridge.

Operating the sun blind of the panoramic sliding roof

Important Safety Notes

WARNING

When opening or closing, body parts can be trapped between the sun blind and the frame or the sliding roof. There is a risk of injury!

When opening or closing, make sure no body parts are within the range of movement of the sun blind.

If someone becomes trapped,

• release the switch immediately, or
• during automatic travel, briefly press the switch in any direction.

Opening or closing is briefly stopped. The sun blind then moves back to its starting position.

The sun blind protects against sun exposure. You can open or close the two sun blinds together only when the panoramic sliding roof is closed.

Reversing function of the sun blind

The sun blind is equipped with an automatic reversing function. If a solid object prevents or restricts the sun blind from closing while it is closing, the sun blind opens again automatically. The automatic reversing function is only an aid and does not replace your attention when closing the sun blind.

WARNING

The reversing function in particular does not respond to soft, light and thin objects, e.g. small fingers. As a result, the reversing function cannot prevent trapping in these situations. There is a risk of injury!

When closing the sun blind, make sure no body parts are within the range of movement.

If someone becomes trapped,

• release the switch immediately, or
• during automatic closing, briefly press the switch in any direction.

The closing process is briefly stopped. The sun blind then moves back to its starting position.

Note

If the panoramic sliding roof and sun blinds cannot be fully opened or closed after adjusting, contact a qualified workshop.

If the panoramic sliding roof or sun blinds can only be moved in jerks, readjust the panoramic sliding roof and sun blinds.

Turn the key in the ignition to position 1 or 2.

On the buttonpress repeatedly until the pressure point is reached in the direction of the arrowpull until the panoramic sliding roof is fully closed.

If this is not the case, repeat the steps above.
