Some vehicles are fitted with a tyre repair kit instead of a spare wheel 236.

Carry out the following preparations and observe the advice below:

  • Park the vehicle on firm, level, non-slip ground. Set the front wheels straight ahead.
  • Apply the parking brake, engage 1st gear or reverse, or set the selector lever to P.
  • Remove the spare wheel 242.
  • Never change more than one wheel at a time.
  • Only use the jack to change punctured tyres, not to fit winter or summer tyres when changing seasons.
  • If the ground is not firm, place a solid board no more than 1 cm thick under the jack.
  • No person or animal must be inside the vehicle while it is raised on a jack.
  • Do not get under a vehicle raised on a jack.
  • Do not start the engine of a vehicle raised on a jack.
  • Clean the wheel nuts and their threads with a clean cloth before fitting the wheel.
