Do not use for an extended period.

Handling and vehicle driving characteristics may be impaired.

In the event of a tire puncture: Apply the parking brake, engage 1st gear or reverse, or place the selector lever in P.

Kit de réparation des pneus

The tire repair kit is stored in a compartment under the luggage compartment floor cover.

  1. Remove the tire repair kit from its storage compartment.
  2. Remove the compressor.
    Kit de réparation des pneus

  1. Remove the power cable and air hose from their storage compartment on the underside of the compressor.
Kit de réparation des pneus

  1. Screw the compressor air hose onto the connector on the sealant bottle.
  2. Place the sealant bottle in the holder on the compressor.

Place the compressor near the tire so that the sealant bottle is upright.

  1. Unscrew the valve cap from the defective wheel.
  2. Screw the filling hose onto the tire valve.
  3. The compressor switch must be set toBrancher la fiche du compresseur .
  4. We recommend leaving the engine running to prevent the battery from discharging.

  1. Set the compressor rocker switch to I. The tyre is filled with sealant.
  2. The compressor pressure gauge briefly shows a pressure of up to 6 bar while the sealant bottle empties (approx. 30 seconds).

Then the pressure begins to drop.

  3. The sealant has been completely pumped into the tyre.

Then inflate the tyre with air.

  4. The prescribed inflation pressure should be reached within 10 minutes. Tyre pressure 283. When the correct pressure is reached, switch off the compressor.
    Kit de réparation des pneus

If the prescribed tyre pressure is not reached within 10 minutes, disconnect the tyre repair kit. Drive the vehicle forward or backward by one wheel revolution.

Reconnect the tyre repair kit and continue the inflation procedure for 10 minutes. If the prescribed inflation pressure is still not reached, the tyre is too severely damaged. Contact a workshop.

Release the excess pressure using the button located above the pressure gauge.

Do not operate the compressor for more than 10 minutes.

  1. Detach the tyre repair kit. Push the latch to remove the sealant bottle from its holder. Screw the tyre inflation hose onto the free opening of the sealant bottle. This prevents the sealant from escaping. Store the tyre repair kit in the luggage compartment.
  2. Wipe off excess sealant with a cloth.
  3. Remove the label affixed to the sealant bottle indicating the maximum permitted speed and place it within the driver's field of view.
  4. Drive off immediately so that the sealant distributes evenly inside the tyre. After a drive of approx. 10 km (but no more than 10 minutes), stop and check the tyre pressure. To do this, screw the air hose directly onto the tyre valve and the compressor.

If the tyre pressure exceeds 1.3 bar, correct it to the prescribed value. Repeat the procedure until no further pressure loss occurs.

If the tyre pressure has dropped below 1.3 bar, do not drive the vehicle any further.

Contact a workshop.

  1. Store the tyre repair kit in the luggage compartment.

Note

The driving characteristics of the repaired tyre are severely impaired, so this tyre should be replaced.

If the compressor makes abnormal noises or overheats strongly, stop it for at least 30 minutes.

The built-in safety valve opens at a pressure of 7 bar.

Check the expiry date of the kit. Beyond this date, its sealing capability is no longer guaranteed.

Observe the storage instructions printed on the sealant bottle.

Replace the sealant bottle that has been used. Dispose of the bottle in accordance with legal requirements.

The compressor and the sealant can be used down to approx. -30 °C.

The supplied adapters can be used to inflate other objects (balls, air mattresses, inflatable boats, etc.). They are located on the underside of the compressor. To remove them, screw them onto the compressor air hose and pull them off.
