Automatic operating mode
1. Automatic "comfort" program
Press the
"AUTO" button. The "AUTO" symbol will be displayed.
This mode is recommended: the system automatically and optimally adjusts all functions (cabin temperature, airflow rate, air distribution and air recirculation) according to the selected setting.
The system is designed to provide comfort in every season with the windows closed.
When the engine is cold, to avoid blowing large amounts of cold air, the system automatically and gradually adjusts the airflow rate. When the outside temperature is low, it is recommended to direct warm air only to the windshield, side windows and passengers' feet.
2. Driver-side adjustment
3. Passenger-side adjustment
The driver and the front-seat passenger can adjust the temperature individually as needed.
The value shown on the display corresponds to a set comfort level, not a temperature in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
- To decrease or increase the value, turn knob 2 or 3 to the left or right.
A setting around 21 provides optimal comfort.
However, settings between 18 and 24 are possible.
For optimal comfort, it is recommended to keep the difference between the left and right sides no greater than 3 units.
If, after getting into the vehicle, the cabin temperature is much higher or much lower than the set comfort value, there is no need to change the displayed value. The system will automatically compensate for the temperature difference as quickly as possible.4. Automatic visibility program
To quickly defog or defrost the
windshield and side windows (humidity, many passengers, icing...), the automatic "comfort" program may not be sufficient.
- Select the automatic "visibility" program.
The system automatically adjusts the air conditioning, fan speed and air intake, and directs the airflow to the windshield and side windows.
- To stop the program, press the "visibility" button or the "AUTO" button again; the button indicator goes off and "AUTO" is displayed.
Manual mode
Settings other than those proposed by the system can be selected according to personal preference by adjusting them manually. The other functions will continue to be controlled automatically.
- Pressing the "AUTO" button returns the system to fully automatic mode.
- Turn knob 2 or 3 to the left until "LO" is displayed, or to the right until "HI" is displayed.
5. Switching the air conditioning on/off
Pressing this
button switches off the air conditioning.
Switching it off may worsen the cabin air quality (humidity, fogging).
- Pressing it again returns the air conditioning to automatic operation. The " A/C " symbol is displayed.
6. Air distribution control
Each further press of this
button directs the airflow to:
- the windscreen, side windows and passengers' feet,
- the windshield and side windows (drying, defrosting),
- the central and side vents,
- the central vents, side vents and passengers' feet,
- passengers' feet.
7. Adjusting the airflow rate
Press the "small
fan" button to decrease the airflow rate.
Press the "large
fan" button to increase the airflow rate.
The fan symbol fills up gradually as the set value increases.
8. Fresh air / Recirculation
Pressing this
button activates recirculation of the air inside the cabin. The recirculation symbol will be displayed.
Recirculation mode isolates the cabin from outside odours and smoke.
- Whenever possible, press this button again to return to fresh air intake, to avoid fogging of the windows.
