  • Insert the key into the ignition switch.

    The system recognises the starting code.

  • Turn the key fully towards the dashboard to position 3 (Start).
  • Release the key as soon as the engine starts.

Switching off the engine

  • Stop the vehicle.
  • Turn the key fully towards yourself to position 1 (Stop).
  • Remove the key from the ignition.
Key left in ignition warning If the key is left in the ignition and the driver's door is opened, a warning signal sounds.

Vehicle location

To locate a locked vehicle in a car park:

  • press the closed padlock; the interior lights come on and the indicators flash for a few seconds
