Electronic immobiliser

The key contains an electronic chip with a special code. When the ignition is switched on, the code must be recognised before the engine can start.

The electronic immobiliser locks the engine management system a few seconds after the ignition is switched off and prevents the vehicle from being started illegally.

A fault will be signalled
by the warning light illuminating, an audible signal and a message on the screen.

In this case the vehicle will not start; contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
