Alarm

~3min read

A protection and deterrent system against theft and break-in. It provides the following types of monitoring:

Perimeter

The system monitors the opening of the vehicle.

The alarm sounds if someone tries to open a door, the boot, the bonnet...

Volumetric

The system monitors changes in volume within the passenger compartment.

The alarm sounds if someone breaks a window, enters the passenger compartment or moves inside the vehicle.

Self-protection function

The system monitors the deactivation of its components.

The alarm sounds if the battery, central control unit or siren wiring is disconnected or damaged.

For any work on the alarm system, consult the PEUGEOT network.

Activation

  • Switch off the ignition and leave the vehicle.
  • Press the lock button on the remote control.

The monitoring system is active: the button indicator flashes every second.

After pressing the lock button on the remote control, perimeter monitoring is activated after a 5-second delay and volumetric monitoring after a 45-second delay.

If an opening (door, boot...) is not properly closed, the vehicle is not locked, but perimeter monitoring will be activated after a 45-second delay, at the same time as volumetric monitoring.

Deactivation

  • Press the unlock button on the remote control.

The alarm system is deactivated: the button indicator goes out.

Locking the vehicle with perimeter monitoring only

Deactivate volumetric monitoring to prevent accidental alarm activation in cases such as:

  • leaving an animal in the vehicle,
  • leaving a window partly open,
  • washing your vehicle,
  • changing a wheel,
  • towing your vehicle,
  • transporting it by boat.

Deactivating volumetric monitoring

  • Switch off the ignition.
  • Within ten seconds, press the button until the indicator comes on steadily.
  • Get out of the vehicle.
  • Immediately press the lock button on the remote control.

Only perimeter monitoring is activated: the button indicator flashes every second.

For this deactivation to be taken into account, it must be carried out after each ignition switch-off.

Neutralisation de la surveillance volumétrique

Reactivating volumetric monitoring

  • Press the unlock button on the remote control to deactivate perimeter monitoring.
  • Press the lock button on the remote control to activate all monitoring functions.

The button indicator flashes again every second.

Alarm triggering

This results in the horn sounding and the indicator lights flashing for thirty seconds.

The monitoring functions remain active until the alarm has been triggered eleven times in succession.

When unlocking the vehicle with the remote control, the button indicator flashing rapidly indicates that the alarm was triggered while you were away. This flashing stops immediately when the ignition is switched on.

Remote control failure

To deactivate the monitoring functions:

  • Unlock the vehicle with the key in the driver's door lock.
  • Open the door; the alarm is triggered.
  • Switch on the ignition; the alarm stops.

    The button indicator goes out.

Locking the vehicle without activating the alarm

  • Lock or double-lock the vehicle with the key in the driver's door lock.

Malfunction

When the ignition is switched on, the button indicator staying on steadily indicates a system fault.

Have it checked by the PEUGEOT network.

Automatic activation *

2 minutes after the last door or the boot is closed, the system activates automatically.

To avoid triggering the alarm when getting into the vehicle, first press the unlock button on the remote control.
