Remote control key

From the driver's door, the key allows locking or unlocking of the doors, boot and fuel filler flap, folding and unfolding of the external mirrors, and independently, opening or closing of the glovebox, locking or unlocking of access to the boot from the rear seats (407 Saloon), and switching on the ignition.

The remote control performs the same functions as the key from a distance, and also opens the boot slightly (Saloon) or the rear window (407 SW).

It is built into the key and provides remote locking and unlocking.

If one of the doors or the boot is open, central locking will not operate.

Unfolding/folding the key

To unfold or fold the key, press button a.

Latching

• Press button b.

The direction indicators flash for approximately two seconds and the external mirrors fold in.

Pressing and holding button B locks the vehicle and also automatically closes the windows and sunroof.

Unlatching

• Press button C.

The direction indicators flash quickly and the external mirrors unfold.

The "external mirror folding" function can be deactivated by the PEUGEOT network.

Note: if the vehicle is locked and unlocking is triggered accidentally without opening any doors within 30 seconds, the vehicle will lock automatically.

Unlocking and opening the boot (saloon) or rear window (407 SW) slightly

• Press and hold button D.

This action also unlocks the doors.

Permanent locking of the boot (saloon)

You can activate
or deactivate this function via the "personalisation - configuration" menu and in "set vehicle parameters" on the multifunction screen.

• Press button D on the remote control.

This action will only unlock the boot.

Super-locking

It disables the external and internal door controls.

Do not operate the super-locking device if someone is inside the vehicle.

With the key

• Lock the vehicle (the direction indicators flash for approximately two seconds).
• A second turn of the key within five seconds super-locks the vehicle (the direction indicators flash for approximately two seconds).

With the remote control

• Press button B to lock the vehicle (the direction indicators flash for approximately two seconds).
• A second press within five seconds super-locks the vehicle (the direction indicators flash for approximately two seconds).
