General information on child seats
PEUGEOT constantly considers safety when designing your vehicle, but your children's safety also depends on you.
To ensure optimal safety, please observe the following instructions:
- in accordance with European regulations, all children under 12 years old or under 1.50 m in height must be transported in approved child seats suitable for their weight, in seating positions fitted with a seat belt or ISOFIX anchorages *,
- statistically, the safest positions for transporting children are the rear seats of your vehicle,
- a child under 9 kg must always be transported in the "rear-facing" position, both at the front and at the rear.
PEUGEOT recommends transporting children in the rear seats of your vehicle:
- "rear-facing" up to 2 years old,
- "forward-facing" from 2 years old.

"Rear-facing"

When a "rear-facing" child seat is installed in the front passenger seat, the passenger airbag must be deactivated. Otherwise, the child could be seriously injured or killed when the airbag deploys.
* Child transport rules are specific to each country.
Check the regulations in force in your country.
"Forward-facing"

When a "forward-facing" child seat is installed in the front passenger seat, set the vehicle seat to the intermediate longitudinal position with the backrest upright and leave the passenger airbag active.
