Manual air conditioning and heating

The controls
- Adjusting the air temperature.
- Adjusting the fan speed.
- Air conditioning.
- Air distribution in the passenger compartment.
- Defrosting/demisting of the rear window and, depending on vehicle, the mirrors.
- Air recirculation.
Switching air conditioning on or off (depending on vehicle)
Button 3 allows air conditioning to be switched on (indicator lit) or off (indicator off).
Air conditioning cannot be switched on if control 2 is set to OFF.
Using air conditioning:
- lowers the temperature inside the passenger compartment;
- clears fogging more quickly.
Air distribution in the passenger compartment
There are five air distribution settings. Turn control 4 to select your setting.
The
airflow is directed to the windscreen demisting strips and the front side window demisters.
The
airflow is distributed between all vents, the front side window demisters, the windscreen demisting strips and the occupants' footwells.
The
airflow is mainly directed to the occupants' footwells.
The
airflow is directed to the dashboard vents, to the front occupants' footwells and, depending on vehicle, to the second-row occupants' footwells.
The
airflow is directed to the dashboard vents.

Activating air recirculation
Press button 6: the integrated indicator lights up.
In these conditions, air is taken from the passenger compartment and recirculated without admitting outside air.
Using the positions
and

prevents activation of air recirculation to avoid any risk of fogging on the windscreen, and switches on air conditioning and lights the integrated indicator 3.
Air recirculation allows you to:
- isolate yourself from the outside environment (driving in polluted areas...);
- cool the passenger compartment more quickly.
Adjusting the fan speed
Turn control 2. The further right the control is positioned, the greater the volume of air delivered. If you want to stop the airflow or switch off the system, set control 2 to OFF.
The system is off: fan speed is zero (vehicle stationary). You may feel a slight airflow when the vehicle is moving.
Quick demisting
Set controls 1, 2 and 4 to the following positions
:
- outside air;
- maximum temperature;
- demisting.
Using air conditioning speeds up demisting.
Prolonged use of air recirculation may cause fogging on the side windows and windscreen, and discomfort due to stale air in the passenger compartment. It is therefore advised to return to normal operation (outside air) by pressing button 6 again as soon as air recirculation is no longer needed.Test yourself
