Advice on use

In some cases (air conditioning off, recirculation on, fan speed at zero or low, ...), condensation may form on the side windows and the windscreen.

If condensation forms, use the "clear visibility" function to remove it, then preferably switch on the air conditioning in automatic mode to prevent condensation from forming again.

Fuel consumption

When using the air conditioning, an increase in fuel consumption (especially in city driving) is normal.

On vehicles with air conditioning without automatic mode, switch it off when it is no longer needed.

Advice to reduce fuel consumption and thereby help protect the environment: while driving, the air vents should be open and the windows closed.

If the vehicle has been parked in hot weather or in direct sunlight, ventilate the vehicle before setting off to remove the hot air.

Maintenance

The frequency of inspections is given in the vehicle service book.

Malfunctions

In general, if any malfunction occurs, contact an authorised dealer of the brand.

  • Reduced efficiency of defrosting, demisting or air conditioning.

The cause may be a clogged cabin filter.

  • No cold air is delivered.
  • Check the correct setting of the controls and the condition of the fuses.

Otherwise, switch off the air conditioning.

    Water under the vehicle

When the air conditioning is used for a long time, water may be seen dripping from under the vehicle.

This is normal and is caused by condensation of water vapour.

Do not open the refrigerant circuit yourself. The refrigerant is dangerous to the eyes and skin.
