Coolant

With the vehicle on level ground and the engine switched off, the coolant level with a cold engine should be between the "MINI" and "MAXI" marks on reservoir 1.

Top up the level with a cold engine before it drops to the "MIN" mark.

When working under the bonnet, check that the wiper lever is in the parked (OFF) position.

Fluid level check frequency

Check the coolant level regularly (a lack of coolant can cause serious engine damage).

If coolant needs topping up, use only products approved by our technical services, which guarantee:

• anti-freeze protection;
• corrosion protection of the cooling system.

Before any work in the engine compartment, be sure to switch off the engine using the stop button (see the "Starting and stopping the engine" section in Chapter 2).

Replacement frequency

See the vehicle service book.

If an excessive or repeated drop in level is noticed, go to an Authorised Partner of the brand. Do not carry out any repairs to the cooling system when the engine is hot.
