Brake fluid reservoir level

The level check is carried out with the engine switched off, with the vehicle standing on level ground.

Check the fluid level frequently, especially if you notice even the slightest difference in braking performance.

When working near the engine, remember that it may be hot. In addition, the radiator fan may switch on at any time.

The fluid level drops as the brake pads wear, but it must never fall below the "MINI" warning mark.

To check the wear of the discs and drums yourself, obtain the documentation describing the inspection method, available from the Authorised Partner network or the manufacturer's website.

Filling

Any brake system repair requires replacing the brake fluid, which must be carried out by a specialist.

Use only fluid approved by our technical services (from an original sealed container).
