Topping up / filling

The vehicle must be on level ground, with the engine stopped and cold (for example: before the first start of the day).

Engine oil quality

Refer to your vehicle's service document.

Do not exceed the “MAX” level and do not forget to refit cap 4 and dipstick 5.

Appoint/ remplissage
  • Unscrew cap 4;
  • restore the level (for information, the capacity between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks on dipstick 5 is 1.5 litres, depending on engine);
  • wait about 10 minutes to allow the oil to drain down;
  • check the level using dipstick 5 (as described above).

Once the operation is complete, make sure to push the dipstick fully home or screw the filler cap fully in.

! Engine oil change: if you carry out the oil change with the engine warm, take care to avoid burns from the draining oil. ! Filling: when topping up, take care that no oil falls onto engine parts, as there is a risk of fire. Do not forget to tighten the cap correctly, otherwise oil may spray onto hot engine parts, causing a risk of fire. ! When working near the engine, it may be hot. The radiator fan may also start at any time. Risk of injury. ! Do not run the engine in an enclosed space: exhaust gases are toxic.
