Before operating the bench seat, make sure the front seats are moved far enough forward, the rear seat belts are unbuckled and no object is preventing the operation.
Lower the rear head restraints to the stowed position.
Pull the lever 1 of the backrest you want to fold down (on the right or left of the bench seat), and guide the backrest down.

Before raising the backrest, make sure no object (water bottle, toolbox, etc.) is preventing it from locking properly.
Raise the backrest, then finish by pushing it until it clicks. Make sure it is properly locked.
Maximum load: 300 kg, evenly distributed.
