OPERATION

A thermistor sends a change in resistance to the receiver according to the coolant temperature, and a threshold switch turns on the warning light on the instrument panel when the temperature reaches 118 °C.

CHECKING

Connect an ohmmeter between terminal 1 (engines K and E) or terminal 2 (engine F) of the sensor and vehicle ground.

Correct value: 160 to 1,250 Ω.
