Function architecture
Air conditioning function architecture
The air conditioning function is distributed across four control modules. The link between these four control modules is provided by the multiplexed network, except in the case of manual air conditioning, where the link between the air conditioning control panel and the Cabin Central Unit is wired.
The air conditioning control panel interprets the driver's request, which it transmits to the other three control modules, and manages cabin ventilation, air distribution, air mixing and air recirculation.
The Cabin Central Unit transmits the compressor engagement request of the air conditioning to the injection and manages the operation of the cabin heating resistors (RCH).
The injection receives the refrigerant fluid pressure information from the pressure sensor. The injection control module authorises or not the compressor engagement request depending on the operation of the vehicle and transmits it to the Protection and Switching Unit.
The Protection and Switching Unit, for its part, manages the power section of the air conditioning function. It controls the engagement of the compressor, the engine cooling fan assemblies and the rear window defroster.
