Tightening torques
exhaust gas recirculation solenoid valve mounting bolt 0.9 daN.m

The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) solenoid valve is fitted into the EGR housing.

REMOVAL

Remove:

  • the intake and exhaust manifolds (Section Fuel Mixture, Manifold, page 12A-43),
  • the three EGR solenoid valve mounting screws,
  • the EGR solenoid valve by turning it in small increments.

K9K

  • Remove:
  • the heat shield,
  • the EGR solenoid valve mounting screws,
  • the EGR solenoid valve by turning it in small increments.

INSTALLATION

WARNING

Always replace the EGR solenoid valve gasket.

  • Refit in the reverse order of removal.
  • Tighten the EGR solenoid valve mounting screws to torque (0.9 daN.m).
