The headlamp washer pump is powered by the passenger compartment central unit.

When the washer control is actuated and the main beam or dipped beam headlamps are on, the passenger compartment central unit successively energises two relays (1). The signal can be compared to an alternating supply.

The electric headlamp washer pump (bidirectional) therefore sends water to both headlamps at the same time (see wiring diagrams).

To remove the headlamp washer pump, remove the front bumper cover (Chapter Front Headlamps).
