Passengers must not stand up or change seats while the vehicle is moving. A passenger not wearing a seat belt during a crash or emergency stop may be thrown into the vehicle interior, struck by other occupants, or ejected from the vehicle.

Do not use any accessories on the seat belts. Devices intended to improve occupant comfort or change the position of the seat belt may reduce the protection provided by the seat belt and increase the likelihood of serious injury in a crash.

Do not modify the front seats.

Modifying the front seats may interfere with the operation of the supplemental passive safety system sensors or side airbags.

Do not place objects under the front

areas. Placing objects under the front seats may interfere with the supplemental restraint system sensors and wiring harnesses.

Do not strike the doors.

Striking the doors while the ENGINE START/STOP button is in the ON position may cause the airbags to deploy.

Modifications for persons with disabilities. If you require a modification to your vehicle for persons with disabilities, contact the HYUNDAI Customer Assistance Center at 1-877-378-8727.

Adding Equipment or Modifying a Vehicle with Airbags

If you modify your vehicle by replacing the frame, bumper system, front end or side sheet metal, or ground clearance, this may affect the operation of the airbag system.
