Ventilated Seats
In this manual: Your Vehicle's Safety System
~1min read

Ventilated seats are designed to cool the front seats by blowing air through small ventilation holes on the surfaces of the seat cushions and seatbacks.
When ventilated seat operation is not required, keep the switches in the OFF position.
With the engine running, press the switch to cool the driver's seat or front passenger seat.

• The ventilated seats default to the OFF position each time the ignition switch is turned ON.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to the ventilated seat system and seats:
- Use the ventilated seats ONLY when the air conditioner is on. Using seat ventilation for a long period of time with the air conditioner off may cause the ventilated seats to malfunction.
- Never use solvents such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline to clean the seats.
- Avoid getting liquids on the front seat surface and seatback; this may cause the ventilation holes to become blocked and not operate properly.
- Do not place materials such as plastic bags or newspapers under the seats. They may block the air intake, causing the ventilation openings to malfunction.
- Do not replace the seat covers. This may damage the ventilated seats.
- If the ventilation openings do not operate, restart the vehicle. If they still do not operate, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
