This indicator light illuminates:

  • As soon as you turn the ignition key or engine start/stop button to the ON position.
    - Illuminates for approximately 3 seconds, then turns off.
  • If there is a malfunction in the EPB system.

In this case, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer to have your vehicle inspected.

Information - Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) Warning Light

The Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) warning light may come on when the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) indicator light comes on, indicating that the ESC system is not operating properly (this does not indicate an EPB malfunction).
