What to Do in an Emergency

Introduction

With the Tire Mobility Kit, you can remain mobile even after a tire puncture.

The compressor and sealant system effectively and conveniently seals most punctures in passenger car tires caused by nails or similar objects, and re-inflates the tire.

After you have confirmed that the tire is properly sealed, you may carefully drive on the tire (distance up to 200 km (120 miles)) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h to reach a service station or tire dealer for tire replacement.

Some tires, especially those with large punctures or sidewall damage, may not be fully sealed.

A loss of air pressure in the tire may adversely affect its performance. For this reason, avoid sudden steering or other driving maneuvers, especially if the vehicle is heavily loaded or towing a trailer.

The Tire Mobility Kit is not intended as a permanent tire repair method and should be used for one tire only. This procedure shows you step by step how to temporarily seal a puncture simply and reliably.

Read the section "Safety Notes for Using the Tire Mobility Kit."

WARNING

Do not use the TMK if the tire is severely damaged from driving on a flat tire or with insufficient air pressure.

Only punctures located in the tread area of the tire can be sealed with the TMK.
