Using the shift lever

Uso della leva del cambio

Fully depress the clutch pedal before operating the shift lever, then release it slowly.

If it is difficult to shift into reverse, move the shift lever to N, briefly release the clutch pedal, then try again.

Gear position indicator

The gear position indicator is a support tool that helps the driver achieve better fuel economy and reduce exhaust emissions within the limits of engine performance.

■ Gear position indicator display The gear position indicator may not be displayed when the foot is on the clutch pedal.

■ Maximum speed for downshifting To prevent engine overrevving, observe the downshift speeds shown in the following table.
