Rear spoiler sub-assy

HINT:

• The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
• A bolt without torque specification is a standard bolt.
• When replacing the moulding, heat the body and spoiler using a heat light.

a. Remove the 15 clips and door cover.

   Remove the 2 nuts.

   Put protective tape onto the body.

   Using a heat light, heat the spoiler.

   Tie both piano wire ends to wooden blocks or similar objects.

   Scrape the adhesive tape off by pulling the piano wire as shown in the illustration.

   If reusing the rear spoiler, take care not to damage the rear spoiler.

e. Disconnect the connector.

f. Remove the 2 clips and rear spoiler.

   Using a heat light.

   Remove the protective tape from the body.

   Wipe off the stains with cleaner.

   Clean the rear spoiler (if reusing the spoiler).

   Using a heat light, heat the spoiler.

   Remove the adhesive tape from the rear spoiler.
9. 9
   Wipe off the stains with cleaner.

    Install new adhesive tape to the rear spoiler as shown in the illustration.

    Using a heat light, heat the body and spoiler.

    Install the rear spoiler with 2 nuts.
