Removal

  • · To improve access, apply the parking brake, raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and support it on stands.
  • · Remove the fasteners and take off the lower splash shields from under the engine compartment.
  • · Remove the radiator grille as described in the relevant section.
  • · Remove the turn signal light assemblies.
  • · If equipped, remove the fog lights from the front bumper.
  • · Remove the screws securing the front fender liners to the bumper under the fenders. Carefully move the liner aside to access the rear bumper mounting bolts. Remove the bolts.
  • · Remove the bolts securing the front bumper to the underbody.
  • · Support the bumper and remove the upper bumper mounting bolts.
  • · Remove the plastic clips securing the bumper corners to the body. To release a clip, press its center pin.
  • · Remove the bumper from the vehicle, taking care not to damage the body paint. Installation · Install in the reverse order of removal.
