Removal and Installation of Front Door Inner Trim (without Power Window)

Removal

• · Disconnect the negative battery cable.
• · Remove the screw securing the panel in the inner door handle.
• · Remove the screw securing the inner door latch bezel and remove the bezel. · Remove the plastic clip from the front upper corner of the trim panel.
• · Fully close the window and note the position of the window regulator handle. Using a wire hook, hook and pull out the spring clip of the window regulator handle, then remove the handle from the splines. Remove the washers.
• · Carefully remove the speaker grille, remove the screws, remove the speaker and disconnect the wires.
• · Remove the remaining clips and the screws securing the door trim panel. The plastic clip at the rear edge of the door is released by pressing its center pin.
• · Using a wide flat-bladed screwdriver, release the door panel clips and lift the panel off the upper retaining lip. Remove the panel from the door.
• · If necessary, the water shield can be removed by removing the screws and the handle. Carefully remove the shield from the door so as not to tear it. Try to keep the seal intact to make installation easier.

Installation · Install in the reverse order of removal. Make sure the window regulator handle faces rearward and upward at approximately 30°.
