Removal Hint:
  • Use the same procedures for the rh and lh sides.
  • The procedures listed below are for the lh side.
  1. Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal
Caution: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  1. Remove vanity light assembly

  1. Using a screwdriver, pry out the vanity light.
Hint:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Remove vanity light bulb

  1. Remove the light bulb from the vanity light.
Inspection
  1. Inspect visor assembly
Toyota RAV4. Inspect visor assembly

  1. Remove the visor assembly.
  2. Inspect vanity light switch.
Standard resistance

If the result is not as specified, replace the visor assembly.

Installation
  1. Install vanity light bulb

  1. Install the light bulb to the vanity light.
  2. Install vanity light assembly

  1. Attach the 2 claws and install the vanity light lens to the vanity light.

  1. Install the vanity light.
  2. Connect cable to negative battery terminal
