Observe the information on the inside of the fuel filler flap!

Diesel fuel must meet European standard EN 590. The cetane number CN (CN = Cetane Number) must be greater than or equal to 51. It indicates the ignition quality of the diesel fuel.

Winter diesel

In winter, diesel fuel tends to become viscous. For this reason, diesel is offered in winter with improved cold-flow properties (winter diesel).

Warning!


  • The vehicle is not designed to run on biodiesel (RME).

    If you use this fuel, the vehicle's fuel system will be damaged.

  • Do not add “flow improver” additives, gasoline or similar products to diesel fuel.
  • If poor-quality fuel is used, it may be necessary to drain the water separator of the fuel filter between the intervals specified in the Service Schedule. We recommend having this work carried out by a specialist workshop.

    Water accumulation in the fuel filter can cause engine malfunctions.
