Manufacturer's plate

The manufacturer's plate is located on the right in the engine compartment, viewed in the direction of travel => fig. 279 (1).

Vehicles intended for certain export markets do not have a manufacturer's plate.

Vehicle Identification Number

The vehicle identification number (chassis number) is stamped on the rear bulkhead of the engine compartment => fig. 279 (2)

Vehicle identification sticker

The vehicle identification sticker => fig. 280 is located under the rear seat. An extract of the vehicle identification sticker is stuck to the reverse of the cover page of the Service Schedule before the vehicle is handed over to the customer.

The sticker contains the following data:

(1) Vehicle identification number (chassis number)

(2) Vehicle type/engine power/transmission

(3) Engine and transmission code letters

(4) Paint number and interior trim number

(5) Option numbers

(6) Fuel consumption and emissions

Fuel consumption and emissions

The vehicle-specific fuel consumption and emission values are shown at the end of the identification sticker field => fig. 280 (item 6).

The values shown were determined according to the prescribed measurement procedure (EU Directive 80/1268/EEC currently in force). The values do not refer to an individual vehicle.

Depending on equipment, load, driving style, road and traffic conditions, environmental influences and vehicle condition, values in practice may differ from those determined by this measurement method.
