USB port

The USB ports and power outlets in the BMW 5 Series (VII generation) provide comprehensive connectivity for mobile devices. Throughout the vehicle, front, rear and in the luggage compartment, 12 V or USB-C ports are available. Using iDrive, you can control the charge status, port assignment and priority. Especially on longer journeys, all occupants benefit from the ability to charge smartphones, tablets or laptops at the same time. The fast-charging function on selected ports enables efficient charging, even during short stops. Combined with wireless charging and interfaces for media streaming, this creates a fully networked vehicle interior.

The USB ports of the BMW 5 Series G30/G31 offer convenient connection options for mobile devices, whether for charging or for using functions such as music streaming or smartphone integration. Their smart placement in the armrest and center console makes them easy to reach for both driver and front passenger.

The note on possible restrictions caused by large plugs, which can impair the mechanism of the covers, is particularly helpful. This minimizes the risk of damage and supports the long service life of the ports. The system is designed so that function and design work together in harmony.

These details show that the BMW 5 Series G30/G31 has been developed for comfort, safety and quality, even in everyday interfaces.
