Danger Exhaust gases contain toxic carbon monoxide, which is colourless and odourless. Inhaling it is life-threatening. If exhaust gases enter the vehicle interior, lower the windows in the doors. Have the cause of the fault rectified at a workshop.

Avoid driving with the tailgate open, as exhaust gases may enter the vehicle interior.
