  • Do not park the vehicle on surfaces covered with flammable material. The high temperature of the exhaust system may cause ignition.
  • Always apply the parking brake without pressing the release button. When parking on a slope, apply the parking brake with maximum force. At the same time, press the brake pedal to reduce the load on the parking brake.
  • Switch off the engine and ignition. Turn the steering wheel until it locks. ■ If the vehicle is parked on level ground or on an uphill slope, with the front facing uphill, engage first gear before switching off the ignition. Also turn the front wheels away from the kerb.

    If the vehicle is parked on a downhill slope, with the front facing downhill, engage reverse gear before switching off the ignition. Turn the front wheels towards the kerb.

  • Close the windows.
  • Lock the vehicle and activate the alarm.
