The automatic transmission allows manual gear shifting (manual mode) or automatic gear shifting (automatic mode).

The automatic version uses an electronically controlled 6-speed transmission.

Sixth gear is an overdrive gear.

Starting off

  1. After the engine has warmed up, move the gear selector lever to R, D or M while still pressing the brake pedal.
Caution Do not move the selector lever from D (Drive) to R (Reverse) or P (Park) while driving. This may damage the transmission and cause personal injury.
  1. Release the parking brake and the brake pedal.
  2. Pull away slowly by pressing the accelerator pedal gently.
