Exterior Care and Vehicle Washing

~1min read

Vehicle Washing

The best way to extend the service life of the vehicle is to keep it clean and wash it regularly.

• Do not park the vehicle in direct sunlight.
• Use a mild soap designed for car washing with cold or warm water.
• After washing, make sure no soap or cleaners remain on the surface.

• Do not use dishwashing liquid to wash the vehicle.

Using such a liquid will damage the wax coating.

• Avoid high-pressure washing.

Otherwise, water may enter the vehicle and damage interior components.

The vehicle is designed to operate in normal climatic conditions and to withstand natural environmental exposure.

Automatic car washes may damage the antenna.

• Fold the antenna by turning off the audio system.
• Manually remove the antenna mast or antenna from the roof.

Polishing and Waxing Polish the vehicle regularly to remove imperfections from its surfaces.

After polishing, apply a high-quality automotive wax to protect the paint.

Protecting Bright Metal Parts of the Body Clean bright metal parts regularly. As a rule, washing with water is sufficient.

• Do not use automotive or chrome polishes, steam, or alkaline soap to clean or polish aluminum moldings.

These materials can be sufficiently abrasive to damage the moldings and wheels of the vehicle.

When waxing the vehicle, also apply wax to all bright metal parts.

Cleaning Aluminum Wheels and Wheel Covers

To maintain the original appearance of the wheels and wheel covers, clean off road dirt and make sure dust does not accumulate on the brake discs.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or brushes to clean aluminum wheels and wheel covers.

Regularly clean the wheels/wheel covers without using abrasive cleaners or brushes, which can damage the surface.
