Activation

The parking aid is activated automatically 1 second after reverse gear is engaged, if +APC is present.

A short audible signal is emitted by the buzzer.

Deactivation

The parking aid is deactivated in the following cases:

  • when +APC is switched off,
  • when reverse gear is no longer engaged,
  • when a trailer electrical plug is inserted into the towing socket.

Deactivation due to trailer presence

The parking aid is not active when a trailer is attached to the vehicle.

An electrical switch in the towing socket closes when a trailer plug is connected.

An electrical switch in the towing socket closes when a trailer plug is connected.

A 1-second audible signal from the buzzer indicates that the parking aid has been deactivated.

The deactivation signal sounds immediately after the audible signal announcing activation of the parking aid.
