Powered opening

Powered opening

  • Press up on tab a, or press button b on the remote control.

Do not guide the boot lid manually when pressing tab A.

Manual closing

  • Lower the boot lid using interior grab handle c.

Powered closing

  • Press push-button d to command electric closing of the boot lid.
Do not obstruct the tailgate while it closes; any obstacle stops the closing and the tailgate rises automatically by a few centimetres.

Locking/unlocking

It is performed with the vehicle stationary using:

  • The remote control.
  • The key in a door lock.
  • The interior central locking/unlocking control.

The trunk locks automatically while driving, at 10 km/h, even if automatic central locking is deactivated. It unlocks when one of the doors is opened or when the central locking button is pressed (speed below 10 km/h).

Stopping the tailgate opening/closing

While the boot lid is opening or closing electrically, you can stop its movement at any time by pressing push-button D, tab A or button B.

You can then open or close the boot lid, electrically or manually, operating it in the reverse direction if necessary to release it.

Storing an intermediate opening position

It is possible to store an opening angle for the boot lid:

  • Guide the boot lid manually or automatically to the desired position.
  • Press and hold push-button D. The system emits a short beep.
  • Release push-button D.

Cancelling the stored position

When the boot lid is in an intermediate opening position, you can cancel the stored position:

  • Press and hold push-button D. The system emits a long beep.
  • Release push-button D.

The boot lid will return to maximum opening during the next operation.

Electrical motor protection

During successive opening and closing operations of the boot lid, the overheating of the electric motor may prevent it from opening or closing.

Let the motor cool down without operating it for ten minutes.

Closing in emergency mode remains possible.

To avoid the risk of injury, make sure no one is near the boot during powered opening and closing. If the boot lid is loaded (snow, bicycle carrier, etc.) it may close under the weight of the load. Support it, or unload the bicycle carrier or clear the snow beforehand. When taking your vehicle through an automatic car wash, do not forget to lock it fully to prevent any risk of the boot lid opening under power.
