Fuel filler restrictor
Mechanical device preventing petrol from being put into the tank of a diesel-powered vehicle. It thus prevents engine damage resulting from this type of incident.
Located at the tank inlet, the restrictor appears when the cap is removed.

Fuel filler restrictor
Operation
When inserted into your diesel tank, the petrol nozzle hits the flap. The system remains locked and prevents filling.
Do not force it; do not insert a diesel fuel nozzle.
It is possible to use a jerrycan to refuel the tank. To ensure proper fuel flow, bring the jerrycan spout close to the filler neck without pressing it directly against the restrictor flap.Fuel quality for petrol engines
Petrol engines are fully compatible with E10 petrol biofuels (containing 10% ethanol), conforming to European standards EN 228 and EN 15376.
E85 fuels (containing up to 85% ethanol) are reserved exclusively for vehicles sold for use with this type of fuel (BioFlex vehicles). The ethanol quality must comply with European standard EN 15293.
For Brazil only, specific vehicles are sold to run on fuels containing up to 100% ethanol (E100 type).
Quality of fuel used for Diesel engines
Diesel engines are fully compatible with biofuels conforming to current and future European standards (diesel complying with EN 590 blended with a biofuel complying with EN 14214) that may be dispensed at the pump (possible blend of 0 to 7% Fatty Acid Methyl Ester).
Use of B30 biofuel is possible on certain diesel engines; however, this use is subject to strict application of special maintenance conditions. Consult the CITROËN network.
Use of any other type of (bio)fuel (pure or diluted vegetable or animal oils, domestic heating oil, etc.) is strictly prohibited (risk of damage to the engine and fuel system).
