FAULT READING

The following faults can be read using the diagnostic tool:

  • supply voltage out of limits,
  • sunroof control unit faulty,
  • invalid vehicle speed information,
  • mechanical link broken,
  • sunroof switch faulty,
  • sunroof motor faulty,
  • sunroof initialisation failed.

READING PARAMETERS

The following parameters can be read using the diagnostic tool:

  • sunroof configuration,
  • switch position,
  • anti-pinch trigger count,
  • anti-pinch trigger position.

ACTUATOR TEST

The following tests can be performed using the diagnostic tool:

  • full cycle in vent and opening of the sunroof,
  • sunroof control to a selected position,
  • sunroof switch illumination for 5 seconds.

CODING

The following parameters can be coded using the diagnostic tool:

PARAMETER LIST DEFINITIONS
Closing on locking Activation or deactivation of closing when the window and sunroof control button on the RF remote control is pressed
Rain closing Activation or deactivation of automatic closing in rain
Limited opening in vent position Activation or deactivation of the vent function, linked to vehicle speed
Vent position recall Activation or deactivation of manual override of the "speed-linked vent" function

DEGRADED MODES

When the control unit detects a fault, it switches to degraded mode.

Only some functions are available.

Sunroof malfunctions are stored in memory.

Faults can be read using the diagnostic tool.

Operation in degraded mode.

FAULTS SUNROOF OPERATION
Sunroof motor overheating Sunroof movement is no longer possible if motor overheating is detected. The motor resets automatically.
Sunroof switch stuck pressed If the sunroof switch remains stuck in the pressed position for more than 15 seconds, the system ignores all commands until the sunroof switch is released.
Internal component blocked If an internal component (e.g. relay) remains blocked for more than 100 ms after the action has stopped, the sunroof electronics cut power to the motor until the component is released.
Software end stop below mechanical upper stop The sunroof operates normally except that the anti-pinch detection zone is offset.
Software end stop above mechanical upper stop The sunroof operates in degraded mode. The software end stop is disabled until the next initialisation.
Short circuits, open circuits, earth faults on the VAN network Automatic opening or closing of the sunroof is not allowed.

Manual opening of the sunroof is permitted.

Initialisation permitted.

Closing is only possible while holding the sunroof switch pressed.

Battery partially discharged and engine stopped Only closing of the sunroof is possible when locking or super-locking the openings.
