CODABLE PARAMETERS

List of configurable parameters that can be read using the diagnostic tool:

  • pyrotechnic pretensioner seatbelts,
  • driver airbag,
  • passenger airbag,
  • driver and passenger airbags with deactivation switch,
  • front side airbags (left and right),
  • curtain airbags (left and right),
  • side airbag deployment sensor.

AIRBAG ECU REPLACEMENT

Replacing the ECU does not require coding (the ECU must be initialised beforehand).

Important: The airbag ECU fault list must be erased when the ECU is replaced.

PYROTECHNIC SYSTEMS REPLACEMENT

Pyrotechnic systems must be replaced after deployment or within ten years of the vehicle's first registration date, and this work must be carried out exclusively by the dealer network.

Due to the applicable safety requirements, any work or check must be carried out exclusively by the dealer network. Any work not carried out in strict compliance with the requirements could cause system faults or unintended deployment, with the risk of causing personal injury.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS REMINDER

Before any work, carry out the following operations:

  • turn the ignition on,
  • check that the airbag warning light operates correctly (the airbag warning light comes on then goes out),
  • remove the key from the ignition,
  • disconnect the negative battery terminal,
  • wait a minimum of 2 minutes (wait 10 minutes if the airbag warning light operates abnormally).
