Plug-in hybrid technology combines two energy sources: that of the petrol engine and that of the electric motor, which drive the front wheels (traction).

Both types of engine can operate alternately or simultaneously, depending on the selected drive mode and driving conditions.

Electrical energy alone provides propulsion in Electric mode, and in Hybrid mode under moderate demand. It assists the petrol engine during starting and acceleration.

Electrical energy is supplied by a rechargeable traction battery.
