Roof bars

~1min read

For your safety, and to avoid damaging the roof panel and the tailgate, the vehicle design requires the use of roof bars tested and approved by CITROËN.

Whatever the type of load carried on the roof (bicycle carrier, ski carrier, etc.), you must imperatively fit cross bars. Attaching or securing the load to any component other than the roof bars is strictly prohibited.

Recommendations
  • Distribute the load evenly, avoiding overloading one side.
  • Place the heaviest load as close as possible to the roof.
  • Secure the load firmly and mark it if it is bulky.
  • Drive smoothly, as sensitivity to crosswind is increased (the stability of your vehicle may be affected).
  • Remove the roof bars as soon as transport is complete.
Maximum load distributed on the roof bars (for a load height not exceeding 40 cm; except bicycle carriers): 80 kg. If the height exceeds 40 cm, adapt your speed to the road profile, so as not to damage the roof bars and roof fittings. Refer to national legislation to comply with the regulations on transporting items longer than the vehicle.
