    Apply the parking brake.

  • Switch off the ignition and engage first gear or reverse depending on the slope (for a vehicle with automatic gearbox, select position P).
  • If your vehicle is fitted with «Hydractive III+» suspension, place the chock in front of the front wheel on the side opposite the punctured wheel, whichever direction the slope is.

Removing a wheel
  • Remove the cover from each wheel nut using tool 3 .
  • Loosen the wheel bolts.
  • Raise the jack again until the wheel is a few centimetres off the ground.
  • Unscrew the wheel nuts and remove the wheel.
! Before positioning the jack:
  • always set the ground clearance of the vehicle to the «maximum height» position and keep this setting while the jack is positioned under the vehicle (do not use the hydraulic adjustments),
  • immobilise your vehicle on a level, stable, non-slip surface,
  • make sure that all occupants have left the vehicle and are in an area where they are safe.

Never get under the vehicle while it is only supported by the jack.

The jack and all the tools are specific to your vehicle.

Do not use them for other purposes.

Refit the repaired original wheel as soon as possible. Temporary-use spare wheelRoue à usage temporaire

Temporary-use spare wheel

Your vehicle may be fitted with a different spare wheel. It may be normal, when fitting it, to find that the wheel bolt washers do not bear on the rim. The spare wheel is held in place by the conical seat of each wheel nut.

When refitting the original wheel, make sure the wheel nut washers are clean.

Fitting a wheel
  • Engage the wheel on the hub, using the centring guide to help you.

Make sure the hub and wheel surfaces are clean.

  • Tighten the wheel nuts without fully tightening them.
  • Lower the jack and remove it.
  • Tighten the wheel nuts fully using the wheel brace.
  • Refit the covers onto the wheel nuts.
  • Return the ground clearance to its normal position.
  • Restore the tyre inflation pressure and have the wheel balance checked.
Under-inflation detection

These wheels have a pressure sensor. Have them repaired by the CITROËN dealer network.

Locking wheel nut

Each wheel is fitted with a locking wheel nut.

To unscrew it:

  • Remove the cover using tool 3 .
  • Use the locking socket and the crank handle.

! If your vehicle is fitted with a spare wheel of a different size, it is essential not to exceed a speed of 80 km/h with your spare wheel.

The wheel nuts are specific to each type of wheel.

If the wheels are changed, check with the CITROËN dealer network that the nuts are compatible with the new wheels.

Carefully note the code number engraved on the head of the locking socket. It will allow you to obtain a duplicate locking socket from the CITROËN dealer network.
