Electronic immobiliser

The key contains an electronic chip with a special code. When the ignition is switched on, the code must be recognised before the engine can start.

The electronic immobiliser locks the engine management system a few seconds after the ignition is switched off and prevents the vehicle from being started illegally.

A fault will be indicated by
the warning light coming on, an audible signal and a message on the screen.

In this case the vehicle will not start; contact a CITROËN dealer.

Keep the label supplied with the keys of your new vehicle in a safe place, away from the vehicle.

Ignition switch

Stacyjka

It has 3 positions:

  • Position 1: Stop
  • Position 2: Ignition
  • Position 3: Starting

Ignition position

Allows use of the vehicle's electrical equipment or charging of accessories.

As soon as the battery charge level reaches the reserve threshold, the system switches to energy-saving mode: power to the accessories is switched off automatically to protect the battery's charge.

Avoid hanging heavy objects from the key, as pressing on its axis in the ignition switch may cause it to malfunction.
