Usage advice

Rady dotyczące użytkowania

  • Switched-on electrical consumers increase fuel consumption. Therefore, switch them off whenever you no longer need them.

    However, for safety reasons, switch on the lights whenever road conditions require it (remember: see and be seen).

  • Use the ventilation air vents.

    Driving at 100 km/h with the windows open increases fuel consumption by 4%.

  • On vehicles equipped with air conditioning, increased fuel consumption (especially in city driving) with the air conditioning switched on is normal. On vehicles with air conditioning without an automatic mode, switch it off when it is no longer needed.

    Tips to reduce fuel consumption and thus help protect the environment: If the vehicle has been parked in hot weather or in direct sunlight, ventilate it to remove hot air before starting the engine.

  • When refuelling, do not overfill the tank.
  • Avoid driving with an empty roof rack.
  • To transport bulky items, use a trailer.
  • When towing a caravan, fit an approved roof spoiler and adjust it correctly.
Rady dotyczące użytkowania

Avoid "door-to-door" driving (short trips, long stops) - in these conditions the engine does not reach its proper operating temperature.

Tyres

Increased fuel consumption may be caused by:

  • insufficient tyre pressure;
  • use of tyres not recommended by the manufacturer.
