GENERAL INFORMATION.

Power Steering Fluid Level.

Check and maintain the power steering fluid at the proper level. See the "Steering System" section.

Brake Fluid Level.

Check and maintain the brake fluid at the proper level in the brake master cylinder reservoir. See the "Brake System" section. A drop in brake fluid level may be caused by wear of the disc brake pads, which must then be replaced. Check and, if necessary, clean the vent hole in the reservoir cap.

Clutch Pedal Free Travel.

Check and adjust the clutch pedal free travel as necessary every 10,000 km. Measure the distance from the center of the pedal pad to the lower edge of the steering wheel rim with the pedal released. Then take the same measurement with the clutch pedal fully depressed. The difference between the two values is the free travel of the clutch pedal and must be within the range of 138–146 mm.

Lubricating Body Seals.

Apply a thin layer of silicone grease to the rubber seals using a clean cloth.
