Annual Maintenance
GENERAL INFORMATION.
Seat Belt Condition and Operation Inspection
Check all seat belt components for proper operation: belt webbing condition, buckle operation, retractors and guide loops, and secure mounting of the anchor points.
Head Restraint Operation Inspection
If the vehicle is equipped with adjustable head restraints, check that they lock securely in the selected position.
Spare Tire and Jack Mounting
Listen for knocks and noises from the rear of the vehicle. Check that the spare tire, jack, and other tools are securely fastened in the stowed position. After use, lubricate the jack ratchet or screw mechanism.

jack.
Door Lock Maintenance
Lubricate the door lock cylinders.
Body Component Maintenance
Lubricate the hinges of the doors, hood, trunk lid, fuel filler door,
glove box and console lids, locks and latches, and all moving
joints of folding seats.
Starter Interlock Operation Check (automatic transmission)
Warning.
Before checking the interlock, make sure there is enough free space around the vehicle. Then fully apply the parking brake and press the brake pedal. Do not press the
accelerator pedal. If the engine starts, be ready to turn the
ignition off immediately.
Strictly follow these instructions, as the vehicle may move unexpectedly
and injure nearby persons or damage property.
Try to start the engine in each selector position of the automatic transmission. If the interlock is working properly, the starter should engage
only in the P (Park) and N (Neutral) positions.
Parking Brake and Automatic Transmission Park Lock Check
in the P (Park) selector position.
Warning.
To check the effectiveness of the parking brake and the automatic transmission park lock, stop the vehicle on a sufficiently steep grade.
The grade must be clear in case the braked vehicle moves. To
eliminate the risk of injury to nearby persons and damage to
property, be ready to quickly press the brake pedal if the vehicle
starts to move and roll down the grade. The parking brake check is performed
with the engine running and the selector in the N (Neutral) position. Gradually release the brake pedal and fully release it.
The vehicle must remain stationary on the grade by the parking brake alone. To check the
operation of the park lock mechanism.
For automatic transmission, move the selector lever to P (Park).
Release the parking brake and gradually release the brake pedal.
Underbody Washing.
At least every spring, wash the underbody with a water jet to remove deposits.
corrosive substances used for de-icing roads.
Thoroughly wash all areas where dirt may accumulate.
Hardened dirt deposits in hard-to-reach areas must be.
pre-soaked.
Engine Cooling System.
Check the condition and freezing point of the coolant. If
the coolant is contaminated or has a rusty color, drain the coolant, flush the cooling system, and refill it with new coolant.
Use only coolant of the recommended concentration to
ensure low freezing temperature, protect the cooling system from corrosion, and maintain normal engine temperature. Check the condition of the hoses and replace them if there are cracks, bulges or other defects. Tighten the clamps. Clean the external surfaces of the radiator and air conditioner condenser.
air conditioner. Flush the filler neck and cap. It is also recommended to check the cooling system under pressure and check the setting of the
radiator cap valves.
