Lower Arm Bushings

Remove or disconnect:

For lower arm removal procedures, refer to subsection 14.7.

Disassemble

Rear arm bushing removal. A. PRESS.

B. PUSHER.

C. PRESS SUPPORT.

13. LOWER ARM

Front arm bushing removal. A. PRESS.

B. PUSHER.

C. PRESS SUPPORT.

13. LOWER ARM (PRESS OUT FROM FRONT TO REAR)

PROCEDURE.

1. Rear arm bushing. Press out the bushing using the pusher..

2. Front arm bushing using tool KM-508A and a punch.

press out the bushing from front to rear..

Assembly

Rear arm bushing installation. A. PRESS.

B. WET WITH SOAP SOLUTION.

C. PRESS SUPPORT.

13. Lower arm.

14. REAR ARM BUSHING FLAT SIDE OF BUSHING MUST FACE THE SAME SIDE AS THE BALL JOINT STUD

PROCEDURE.

1. Rear arm bushing..

1a. Wet the rear arm stud with soap solution and press the bushing onto it. The flat side of bushing 14 must face up, on the same side as the ball joint stud..

2. Front arm bushing..

2a. Wet the outer surface of the bushing with soap solution..

2b. Press the new bushing into the arm bore. Install the bushing from the front side of the arm..
