Tire Service Kit Precautions
In this manual: IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
~3min read
- Replace the sealant bottle (1) and sealant hose (4) of the tire service kit before the expiration date printed on the label in the upper left corner of the bottle to ensure optimal system operation.

- The sealant bottle (1) and sealant hose (4) are intended for use in one tire only and must be replaced after each use. Always replace these components immediately at an authorized dealer.
- When the sealant from the tire service kit is in liquid form, clean water and a damp cloth will remove the material from the vehicle or tire and wheel components. Once the sealant has dried, it can be easily removed and disposed of properly.
- For optimal operation, make sure there is no debris on the wheel valve stem before connecting the tire service kit.
- You may use the air compressor of the tire service kit to inflate bicycle tires. Two needles are also included in the accessory storage compartment (in the lower part of the air compressor) for inflating sports balls, rafts, and similar inflatable items. However, use only the Air Compressor Hose (8) and make sure the Mode Selector Knob (6) is in air mode when inflating such items to avoid injecting sealant into them. The sealant from the tire service kit is intended only for sealing punctures in tire tread diameters of less than 1/4 in (6 mm).
- Do not lift or carry the tire service kit by the hoses.
- Do not attempt to seal a tire on the side of the vehicle nearest traffic. Move far enough away from the roadway to avoid the danger of being struck while using the tire service kit.
- Do not use the tire service kit or drive the vehicle under the following conditions:
- If the tire tread puncture is approximately 1/4 in (6 mm) or larger.
- If the tire sidewall is damaged.
- If the tire has any damage resulting from driving with very low tire pressure.
- If the tire has any damage resulting from driving on a flat tire.
- If the wheel is damaged.
- If you are unsure of the condition of the tire or wheel.
- Keep the tire service kit away from open flames or heat sources.
- An unsecured tire service kit thrown forward in a collision or sudden braking may pose a hazard to vehicle occupants. Always store the tire service kit in its designated location. Failure to follow these warnings could result in serious or fatal injury to you, your passengers, and others around you.
- Keep the contents of the tire service kit away from hair, eyes, and clothing. Tire sealant from the tire service kit is harmful if inhaled, swallowed, or absorbed through the skin. It causes skin, eye, and respiratory tract irritation. If contact occurs with the eyes or skin, flush immediately with plenty of water. If contact with clothing occurs, change clothes as soon as possible.
- The tire service kit sealant solution contains latex. In case of an allergic reaction or rash, seek medical attention immediately. Keep the tire service kit out of reach of children. If swallowed, immediately rinse the mouth with plenty of water and drink plenty of water. Do NOT induce vomiting! Consult a physician immediately.
