ASSIST AND SOS MIRROR — IF EQUIPPED

The rearview mirror (if equipped) contains an ASSIST button and an SOS button.
NOTE:
- Your vehicle may transmit data as permitted by the subscriber.
- The ASSIST and SOS buttons will only work if you are connected to an operating LTE (voice/data) or 4G (data) network. Other Uconnect services will only work if your SiriusXM Guardian™ service is active and you are connected to an operating LTE (voice/data) or 4G (data) network.
ASSIST Call
The ASSIST button is used to automatically connect you to any of the following support centers:
- Roadside assistance — if you have a flat tire or need towing, simply press the ASSIST button and you will be connected to a roadside assistance representative. The roadside assistance representative will know which vehicle you are driving and its location. Additional charges may apply for roadside assistance.
- SiriusXM Guardian™ Customer Care — support for SiriusXM Guardian™ in the vehicle.
- Vehicle Customer Care — full support for all other vehicle-related questions.
- Uconnect Customer Care — full support for radio, phone, and NAV questions.
SOS Call
- Press the SOS Call button on the rearview mirror.
NOTE:
If the SOS Call button was pressed by mistake, there will be a 10-second delay before the SOS Call system initiates a call to an SOS operator. To cancel the SOS Call, press the SOS Call button on the rearview mirror or press the cancel button on the device screen. Canceling the SOS Call will turn off the green LED on the rearview mirror.
- The LED indicator, located between the ASSIST and SOS buttons on the mirror housing, will turn green once a connection to an SOS operator has been established.
- Once the connection between the vehicle and the SOS operator is established, the SOS Call system may transmit the following important vehicle information to the emergency operator:
- Indication that an occupant has pressed the SOS button.
- Vehicle make.
- Last known GPS coordinates of the vehicle.
- You should be able to speak with the SOS operator through the vehicle's audio system to determine whether additional assistance is needed.
NOTE:
Your vehicle may transmit data as permitted by the subscriber.
After a connection is established between the vehicle's SOS Call system and the SOS operator, the SOS operator may establish voice communication with the vehicle to determine whether additional assistance is needed. Once the SOS operator opens voice communication with the vehicle's SOS Call system, the operator should be able to speak with you or other occupants of the vehicle and hear sounds occurring inside the vehicle. The vehicle's SOS Call system will attempt to remain connected with the SOS operator until the SOS operator disconnects the call.
- The SOS operator may attempt to contact the appropriate emergency services and provide them with important vehicle information and GPS coordinates.
- If anyone in the vehicle may be in danger (for example, visible fire or smoke, hazardous road conditions, or location), do not wait for voice contact from the emergency service agent. All occupants must leave the vehicle immediately and move to a safe location.
- Never place anything on or near the vehicle's operating network or GPS antennas. You may interfere with the operating network and GPS signal reception, which may prevent your vehicle from making an emergency call. A working network and GPS signal reception are required for proper operation of the SOS Call system.
- The SOS Call system is integrated into the vehicle's electrical system. Do not add secondary electrical equipment to the vehicle's electrical system. This may prevent your vehicle from sending a signal to request emergency assistance. To avoid interference that could cause the SOS Call system to fail, never add secondary equipment (for example, two-way mobile radio, CB radio, data recorder, etc.) to the vehicle's electrical system or modify the vehicle's antennas. IF FOR ANY REASON (INCLUDING DURING OR AFTER A CRASH) YOUR VEHICLE'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILS, UCONNECT FUNCTIONS, APPLICATIONS, AND SERVICES, AMONG OTHERS, WILL NOT OPERATE.
- Modifications to any part of the SOS Call system may cause the airbag system to fail when you need it. You may be injured if the airbag system is not present to help protect you.
SOS Call System Limitations
Vehicles sold in Mexico do NOT have SOS Call system capability.
SOS or other emergency service operators in Mexico cannot answer or respond to SOS Call system calls.
If the SOS Call system detects a malfunction, one of the following may occur at the time the malfunction is detected and at the start of each ignition cycle:
- The rearview mirror indicator, located between the ASSIST and SOS buttons, will illuminate and remain on steady red.
- The following message will appear on the display screen: "Vehicle system requires service. Please contact an authorized dealer."
- The on-board audio system will announce "Vehicle system requires service. Please contact an authorized dealer."
- Ignoring the rearview mirror indicator may mean that you will not have SOS Call service. If the rearview mirror indicator is illuminated, see an authorized dealer immediately to have the SOS Call system serviced.
- The Occupant Restraint Control Module controls the airbag. The warning light on the instrument panel illuminates when a malfunction is detected in any part of the system. If the airbag warning light is on, see an authorized dealer immediately to have the Occupant Restraint System serviced.
Even when the SOS Call system is fully functional, factors beyond the control of FCA US LLC may interfere with or stop SOS Call system operation. These include, but are not limited to, the following factors:
- The ignition is in the OFF position.
- The vehicle's electrical systems are malfunctioning.
- The SOS Call system software and/or hardware is damaged during a crash.
- The vehicle battery loses power or is disconnected during a crash.
- LTE (voice/data) or 4G (data) network and/or Global Positioning Satellite signals are unavailable or blocked.
- Equipment failure at the SOS operator facility.
- Operator error by the SOS operator.
- LTE (voice/data) or 4G (data) network congestion.
- Weather.
- Buildings, structures, geographic terrain, or tunnels.
NOTE:
- Your vehicle may transmit data as permitted by the subscriber.
- Never place anything on or near the vehicle's LTE (voice/data) or 4G (data) and GPS antennas. You may block LTE (voice/data) or 4G (data) and GPS signal reception, which may prevent your vehicle from making an emergency call. An active LTE (voice/data) or 4G (data) network connection and GPS signal are required for proper operation of the SOS Call system.
NOTE:
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
Automatic SOS — If Equipped
Automatic SOS is a hands-free safety service that can immediately connect you with help if your vehicle's airbags deploy. Please refer to your radio application for complete information.
